Could not believe it on Never mind the Buzzcocks when they almost didn't recognise Hazel!
Anyone know where in Southsea (June 4th, 2000) Hazel is playing. Contact paul.baxter@i.am if you have any details.
Cheers
(Last saw her in Firkin pub in Bristol 10 yrs ago so love to see her again.)

Nice page!! It's really, really cool!!
Well, hey guys!! I'm here to tell you about this REALLY cool movie called Human Traffic. It has gotten great reviews in the UK and Australia.
Here's a little bit about the movie: Human Traffic takes place in the UK and chronicles the chemical as well as emotional ups and downs of a group of five friends whose weekend is full of clubbing, dosing, tripping, partying, raving and soaking up as much of each other and clubs as possible. Reviews have raved about the great music on the soundtrack. Some great names such as , Fatboy Slim, Jacknife Lee, Lucid, Position Normal, Grim, Public Enemy, First Born, Orbital, Aramand Van Heldon, Peter Heller, Quake Durango, Energy 52, Liquid Child, System F, Carl Cox, Underworld, Quake, Primal Scream to name a few. For a synopsis of the movie, click here.
Here's your chance to learn more about the movie, producer, and director. Yahoo Chat May 1, 8:00 p.m. est with Justin Kerrigan the writer and director of Human Traffic.
Lastly, be sure to check out the official website for Human Traffic at http://www.human-traffic.com/. You need Shockwave but it's well, worth it!!
Well, everyone have a fun and safe day!! Peace out!

Are there any other of regular London gig goers who where regular Breaking Glass extras?
Also, I have the second release of the video with a blue cover, unfortunately the feature of myself has been cut. Any ideas on getting the first edition with the yellow cover (matching the albulm cover)?
Comments:
I watched the film last night and noticed the following of which i wasn't aware. Dodi Fayed, the man who was killed in the same car crash as Princess Di, was the Executive Producer. Just a piece of trivia i thought i might pass on to all interested! Vi
eo is now deleted in the UK - anyone know where i can buy a copy? (mine is an old tape off the telly).

thanks so much for this wonderful breaking glass site!!!!! I've been obsessed with this film ever since I first saw it way back in nineteen hundred and eighty-three i believe...I was 13 and the only punk in the ozark mountains of arkansas....enough said.
This movie along with its brilliant soundtrack made a huge impact on me....thank god for usa's Night Flight....which aired progressive movies such as Breaking Glass and Ladies and Gentlemen the Fabulous Stains....it kept me in touch with the then modern w
rld from which i was unfortunately isolated.
All is well now thoough..........
thanks again,
john

Oh my god, I can't beleive it... is it true...
from your stills it looks as though you have a
widescreen version of Breaking Glass???
Or are you tricking us all by snipping the top and
bottom of the picture.
Please tell me... I have to know... I recently
dreamt I was in a cinema about to watch BG, and I
was really excited coz I'd never seen it
widescreen.. but then I woke up... and was very
sad for the rest of the morning.
Whatever happened to rock n roll?

good to see someone's taken the time to set up a hazel o'connor page.
Behold, what this man has done!

Just to let you all know that apparently the video of Breaking Glass has now been deleted - mine snapped the other day in my bloody VCR. If anyone knows where i can get a replacement (VHS) please let me know. Secondly Hazel emailed me the other day to l
t me know that her office will let me know when the "Beyond the Breaking Glass" album will be released (she had seen my comment on this site so she does read our comments!) Hope that she will leave a message on here herself one day - hint hint Hazel if yo
are reading this.

I have a spare CD (new) of Breaking Glass for sale if anyone wnats it - Cost £8.00 plus postage & packing....
Anyone got any news on forthcoming tours?

bitchin' flick - this and "ladies and gentlemen the fabulous stains" blew
me away when i was a young midwestern fag. it's interesting seeing the
serious responses to it - i think it's campy as hell! Although, yes, still one
of my favorite movies ever. And now Givenchy is making haute couture outfits
of the Eighth Day computer board thingy outfit!

Wow. I have loved the movie Brekaing Glass since I first saw it and the obsession has not left me. I have yet to obtain it on video and would KILL (well, not really) to be able to own it. I only have the soundtrack on Record and no longer own a record
player (details..). What's the difference between the "Happy US Version" and the "Origonal UK Version"? Until now, I had no idea there was two!!!
Comments:
I loved Hazel in "Breaking Glass" and the soundtrack from that album. I like the "Five in the Morning" CD, and I hope to see Hazel in concert someday. Any info about tour dates will always be appreciated.
I'm glad you have the web site. Hazel deserves it.

First saw Breaking Glass on Night Flight many years ago, and have been a loyal Hazel O'Connor fan ever since. The web can't have enough sites dedicated to this artist if you want my opinion.
Comments:
Lived by HBO schedule of play times for this film in I think 1983. Saw it 21 times in 1 month. Thought I was the only person who remembered. I still have my vinyl copy in great shape but killed my tapes .I quote Hazel on a regular basis. Her views are sti
l soooo relevent. I really want thios film but 50 hard earned U.S. dollars? Keep this site alive.

Was stumbling across the expanse of the net, when I stubbed my toe on this site. Holy s**t ! What memories came flooding back. Havent even thought about Hazel in years! Now wishing I never lent my vinyl album away so many years ago. If only I could rememb
r to whom? Hazel pulled me directly out of my Led Zepplin/Ted Nugent pre adolescence and put me squarely on the path to punk and alternative music oblivion, and for that; I'll remember her music fondly.

This is awsome. This was my favorite movie & band in 5th grade. Still listen all the time.

Saw Breaking Glass for the first time when Night Flight showed it in about 1985. I've read that there's an extra 11 minutes dropped from the US release (Kate's in a mental hospital or something). If anyone can help me get this elusive footage in any form
t I'd be most obliged.

Great movie, great music - great website.

Breaking Glass is truly a great film and a great album. It took me a long time to find the album after I saw it sometime in 1984. Just tonight I ordered the CD from CD Banzai. No one else has it. Hopefully these guys can come through for me. This is
he only reason I keep my record player around. It's nice to see others appreciate this work and artform.

I'm Welsh and I moved to Florida a couple of years ago. I like Breaking Glass so much that I have had my British version of the film transferred to NTSC; the quality of my transfer is fair. I also wondered if there may have been a PAL version released in

i LOVE hazel o'connor. i had this album years ago, but cannot seem to locate it, nor am i having any luck finding it anywhere. do you know if it's available anywhere on CD? i'd be happy with another vinyl version!
anyway, glad to see there are others who loved this film and hazel and her music. keep up the great work.
Comments:
The songs I mentioned earlier that my band played were Will You? and Hazel's version of Hanging Around.
Comments:
I saw the movie years ago and immediately bought the album. Does anyone know how I can get a copy of the movie on video tape in Australia? Most video stores here don't list it and art-house cinemas seem not to know of it. I have been in two bands that hav
played cover versions of Hazel's songs... they always go down with audiences well.

i did see hazel about 15 years ago in london

Thanks for this..it's brilliant to know that lots
of other people love this film so much too. I
first saw the film about 12 years ago and it's so
touching, sad, funny and well, absorbing..that
it's been my own personal favourite ever since.
It's perfect for a night in escaping from the
world. I've hardly ever met anyone that's seen it
though! I mean..why was there no mention of it
anywhere when the big Phil Daniels explosion
happened with Parklife etc..and the music was so
bloody good in it too. I love the bit when they
music industry guy tries to change the words to
Big Brother..and when all the different people
start turning up for the audition that
morning...and when she changes into that
incredible outfit for the concert...ok I'm going
on a bit now(!). But anyway...thanks for telling
me about the other version in the US, somehow that
doesn't surprise me...and by the way I've seen the
publican in the opening scenes...I think his
name's Ken in real life..around quite a lot in
London...he does readings in the book shop around
the corner from me...my bloke interviewed Mark
Wingett about a year ago for men's mag, he seemed
like a pretty funny guy too. So anyw

Greetings from Cincinnati, Ohio USA. This is excellent stuff and wonderful that it is out there. I loved this movie when I saw it ages and ages ago. I think it was on a program called "NightFlight" I dont remember it having a hapy ending so maybe we got t
e UK version. I was so impressed by Hazel's voice when I saw the movie. Then no more info on her for years. I plan to get the music and video now that I know it is out there. Thanks again for the great service. Great links too.
